Hello all,
My name is Alanna, AKA Ainrana, and I've had a bit of a bizarre life.
I was born and raised in the United States until I was nine years old. When I turned nine, my family moved to Egypt after my dad finally found a stable, well-paying job as a worker for the American embassy. (To put in the simplest terms, he's an IT guy.) We stayed in Egypt for two years, and that's when I became really interested in writing. I wrote a couple short stories about, well, pretty much anything that popped into my head. I was greatly inspired by the works of Lemony Snicket, and attempted to follow his writing style. I would use writing as a way to escape, as bullies were common, and I was far more emotional than other kids. I would also be made fun of because in order to think properly, especially when trying to brainstorm for a story, I have to speak out loud. So, writing became very cathartic for me, and it helped me calm down and release some emotions.

After those two years in Egypt, my family moved to Taiwan. There, I was frequently bullied because I let myself be. My grades were gradually growing worse, and I felt like I was a grade behind in almost everything, except for Humanities, where I became a bit of a know-it-all. Humanities was the only subject I felt confident about, because I already knew most of the material. I became so focused on Humanities and my writing that I neglected almost everything else.

After three years in Taiwan, we moved to Thailand. There, my grades, my writing and almost everything else completely plummeted to the center of the earth.
This year, there weren't any bullies. I thought I knew the material well. Just, for some reason, I couldn't get the right answer no matter how hard I tried. I didn't want to talk with my friends from middle school, and by choice, I had little friends in Thailand. I rarely wanted to write unless it was some kind of one-shot FanFic idea I had in the middle of the night. All I was really interested in was looking at stupid pictures on the internet.
However, we managed to find out the reason why.
About a month before my 15th birthday, I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. It's a developmental disorder characterized by having average to above average intelligence, lack of social skills, and repetitive interests and activities. It meant that I needed information presented to me in a very specific way, and the school in Thailand wasn't willing to accommodate.

I became so relieved that I figured out what was going on, for all these years, and it explained a lot about me. So, I was more than grateful to be sent to a boarding school catered to students with Asperger's. I joined a writing class, I submitted writing to the Literary Magazine, and even became the Editor-in-Chief of the school newspaper. (It's modest, with only six or seven students working on it, and we rarely print out issues due to a lack of communication, but, it's a fair start.)

My dream job, right now, would to become a TV writer, but I also plan to take major in psychology after high school in case that doesn't take flight. I hope that I can become a much better writer having less sentences I write be clunky and a little awkward.
Therefore, I'll be looking forward to joining this group.
My brief introduction to the Literary Publication's club.

Now that I've decided to flop around through your gallery, I really like this. Just a little somethin' somethin' about you, and I find it interesting. Hey, you talk to yourself a lot, right?
